An experimental project made in GameMaker Studio.                                                                                                                            Programmed the following: 

  • Procedurally generated infinite world & navigation – adjacent blocks are drawn with every movement
  • Continuous movement – i.e. not grid by grid
  • Various block types – dirt, stone, coal, diamond etc
  • Crafted tools – shovel, pickaxe, fishing pole 
  • Digging and placing blocks
  • Inventory system
  • Dropped items are collected by the player
  • Item sweep animations
  • Parallax effect
